Hello

A calmer way through the early days

Feeding a new baby can be the hardest, loneliest part of early parenthood; full of advice that contradicts itself and days that blur into nights. It doesn't have to feel that way.

I'm Shanice. After years supporting families through NHS maternity and community services, I now offer that same warm, evidence-based care privately, one family at a time. However you choose to feed, my job is to make it feel possible.

With care, Shanice

Support

Wherever you are in your feeding journey

First latch to last night-waking, and everything in between. If it's about feeding your baby, it's something we can work through together.

Breastfeeding support

Latch, positioning and comfortable feeding, without the pinching pain, the guesswork, or the cluster-feed dread.

Bottle & combination feeding

Whatever mix works for your family: paced bottles, formula, mixed feeding, all supported without a flicker of judgement.

Expressing & pumping

Building a stash, returning to work, or feeding a poorly baby, let's make expressing work for you, not rule your day.

Tongue-tie & latch assessment

A gentle assessment, plain-English answers, and a referral to trusted practitioners if a division might help.

Reflux, colic & fussy evenings

Comfort, positioning, and the reassurance of knowing what's normal, and what's worth looking into further.

Starting solids & weaning

Confident first foods, allergens without the fear, and gently dropping milk feeds when you're both ready.

You're not alone

Whatever the hour, you're held

The 2am feeds. The growth spurts. The evenings it all feels like too much. Feeding worries don't keep office hours, and neither does real support.

Follow-up messaging between visits, so you're never left guessing
Calm, practical steps, not a pile of conflicting advice
Zero judgement about how you choose to feed
How it works

Support that meets you where you are

No lectures, no clipboards, no making you feel like you're doing it wrong. Just four calm steps.

01

Say hello

A free 15-minute call to hear what's going on and see if we're the right fit. No pressure, ever.

02

The visit

A relaxed home or video consultation. I watch a full feed, ask lots of questions, and gently assess.

03

Your plan

A clear, personalised feeding plan made for your baby and your real life, with small steps you can actually take.

04

Not left alone

Follow-up messaging and check-ins, so the days after the visit are supported too, never a cliff edge.

Questions, answered

Can't see yours? The intro call is free, so ask me anything.

Do you support bottle and formula feeding too?

Completely. My job is to support your feeding goals: breastfeeding, bottle, combination, or exclusively pumping, all with zero judgement. A fed baby and a well-supported parent is always the goal.

When should I get in touch?

Whenever something feels hard. Earlier is often easier, but it's genuinely never too late. I support newborns right through to weaning, even antenatally, before baby arrives.

Home visit or online?

Both. Home visits in your area, or video calls anywhere in the world. Some things are easier to spot in person; plenty can be solved beautifully over a call.

Do you divide tongue-ties?

I assess feeding and oral function and explain what I find in plain English. I don't perform divisions myself. If one might help, I'll refer you to trusted practitioners and support you through the decision.

How much does it cost?

Every family's needs are different, so support comes in a few simple packages. Get in touch for current rates, and the introductory call is always free.
